Name: Athena (uh-THEE-nuh)

Breed(horses): Arabian x Friesian
Gender: Mare
Color/Build: Athena's coloration was inherited from her father. Her coat is a lovely black hue. Her build is more like her father's as well. Her frame is larger and more muscular, though it appears to be slender because she is a yearling. Her dial is slightly dished and though she exhibits many friesian qualities, she still displays the arabian grace.
Age: Yearling
Personality: Despite her young age, Athena is quite intelligent. She knows how to work through nearly any problem and most turn to her for advice. She is helpful and rarely gets into fights with others. Just like her sister, Aphrodite, Athena is considered to be a peacemaker of sorts. She likes to help others resolve their problems.
History: The second daughter of Hera and Zeus, Athena enjoyed the company of her father while Aphrodite, the firstborn, enjoyed being with their mother. Athena made time for both parents but looked up to her father the most. Aphrodite was pretty much her best friend.
Soon after she was born and after her mother was bred again, the herd was invaded by bachelor stallions. Athena stayed with Hera and Aphrodite. Her heart was broken as her father was removed from their lives. She is unsure if he is even alive. The black yearling remained under the protection of her older sister and her mother. She followed them here and can't wait to discover their new home.
