Name: Hera
Species: Horse
Breed(horses): Arabian
Gender: Mare
Color/Build: Owning a light grey peltage, Hera could be considered to be a white horse. Her build is a bit stocky but exhibits some arabian features. Her arabian sire had a bit of quarter horse blood within him which gave her the slightly stocky frame. Despite her grey/white coloration, Hera carries a hidden dilution gene. Some of her foals will be diluted, which explains their different colorations.
Age: 5
Personality: Hera is pretty and she knows it. She can be vain at times and gets jealous quite easily. This is caused by the love of her life, Zeus, flirting with other mares. She now has a tendency to be protective over any stallion she has fallen for. Hera is quite the dominant mare as well. SHe has no problem with asserting her independence. Just a warning: she will not always obey a stallion unless she truly loves him.
History: Born to a decent sized herd, Hera had two half sisters and three half brothers born the same year as her. Her foalhood was relatively good and she enjoyed playing with the other foals. As she came of breeding age, the two year old set out on her own. It was then that she met Zeus. She joined his herd and became his lead mare. He bred her and she birthed him a fine filly, Aphrodite. The second time he bred her, Hera produced a pretty filly, Athena. She was bred for a third time but soon afterwards, the herd was separated. Her two fillies stayed with Hera as they wandered about. Hera is due anytime now to the handsome black stallion that she missed so much. Aphrodite and Athena have remained with their mother and helped to protect one another.
