Oh so she thought she was leaving? Draco chuckled to himself as he moved in her path. I don't think so, sweetheart. You're staying here. Congratulations, you're the newest member of the Mapleview Heights herd. Draco arched his neck and peered down at her with a devilish smirk on his maw. No mare was free to leave his land once they entered.

I tossed my dial up and glared at him as he moved in front of me, blocking my path. I lashed out at him with my ivories.

"I don't think so, sweetheart. You're staying here. Congratulations, you're the newest member of the Mapleview Heights herd."

Ha, so he thought I was joining his herd. Well, he had another thing coming. I opened my maw to answer him but shut it again quickly. I had a second thought. It had been a while since I had come across someone just as quick with words and stubborn as myself. Did I want to live under someone that would at least entertain me or did I want someone that was an easy pushover? Entertainment.

"Alright, Draco, I'll play your little game. Who am I living under? You and your lead mare?"

I nodded to the bay draft stallion. I knew full well that the bay was a stallion and was substallion at that and not the second in command, aka lead mare, but I was feeling like being a smartass. I smirked at Draco, my harks still laced back.

Draco snorted loudly. This ain't a game, sweetheart. And you reside here under the command of myself and my substallion, Admiral. She was quite the little smartass. Her attitude reminded him of his own and made him realize he had lost his edge due to him not using it enough. He'd been around Admiral too long and he never used harsh words with his best friend. Ah, well. He'd get it back soon enough.

He wanted more mares. It was a desire that burned within him. He had to have the largest herd, the most advantage over the others. He'd wait though. He had 4 members so far, not including him and Admiral. There was Shera, Jack, Nevada, and now Tempest. Jack would be expelled from the herd the moment he turned 2, or the first time he caused a problem. Shera and Nevada were each expecting a foal, and Tempest would soon be expecting one as well.

Come on, dear. Go make friends with Nevada. Something tells me you two will get along great. A hint of sarcasm layered his words as he walked off towards Admiral. I'll be back shortly. With that, Draco took off out of the land.
