Name: Ella
Species: Horse
Breed: Paint
Gender: Mare
Color/Build: Ella is a pretty chestnut tobiano. She has a thin blaze on her face that widens as it gets closer to her muzzle. All four of her legs are white. She's mostly white with patches of chestnut on her neck, chest, belly, back and flanks.
Age: 4
Personality: Ella is very kind, affectionate and motherly. She enjoys taking care of others and is fond of foals. She can get along with just about anyone and doesn't live to catch a stallion's attention like most others. Holding a higher position in a herd doesn't even make her list of priorities, though she'd consider it an honor. Ella lives to care for the herd and its foals.
History: Ella grew up in a small herd and often helped the other mothers by watching their foals for them if they wished to sleep or anything. She was always very playful and everyone loved her. Soon after she turned 2, her mother died. Ella was devastated. Not even a year later, the lead stallion passed away. The herd began to panic, without a leader, they weren't safe. No one knew what to do..no one but Ella.
Ella rose to take over the herd until her younger brother was old enough to run the herd himself. Being only 2 years of age, Ella managed to lead and protect the herd successfully, leading them to shelter at the perfect time each year, and making sure each of them was able to have enough to eat and drink throughout the year. She broke the ice on the river for the youngers ones in the winter when they got thirsty and pawed through the snow for them to get to the grass beneath it.
When her brother finally turned 3, she handed the herd over to him and left a few days later.
