The Arrival

[Zeus]

Zeus walked for hours and hours to find the best land. He stood on a mountain and there was no scent of any other horse in the area. He thought it was perfect. Zeus then walked and explored the are to find that it had water, good shelter and food. Now all he needed was a herd. Zeus hoped that one day he could get Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena back. He missed them terribly. He didn't want to show that though. It would ruin his reputation of being a mean stallion that no one wanted to mess with.
Zeus felt a strong rumble in his stomach. He decided that he would go find a good place to graze. He realized that he hadn't had anything to eat for the last day. He walked up to a patch of long green grass and started to eat.

[Hera]

The snowy ess pranced into the area with her foal a few lengths behind. A nicker sent the colt speeding up towards her, ears pinned. Hera held her head high as she moved before stopping dead in her tracks. There he was. Zeus. Whinnying softly she trotted over and nuzzled him affectionately.

I've missed you, Zeus. Aphrodite, Athena, and Demeter should be coming along soon. Oh, and I don't believe you've met your son, Hades. Hera stepped to the side to reveal the midnight black colt that stood beside her. Hades looked up at the clearly larger stallion and snorted rudely at him before looking away and towards the trees.

[Zeus]

Hera? I can't believe it's you. I thought i wouldn't ever see you again. This is my son? He's perfect. My other children are coming too. this is wonderful Zeus started to walk away looking towardd her for them to follow. He was going to show them the land they were hopefully about to live in. Zeus hoped that they wouldn't get seperated ever again.

[Hera]

Hera smiled in response to his obvious excitement. She began to follow after him, naturally falling into her previous position as lead mare although it hadn't been officially re-offered to her. Hades rolled his eyes at his father and trotted past them both, leading them instead of the other way around. The onyx colt was very cocky for being so young, and it was bound to eventually get him into some sort of trouble.

Hera let out an impatient whinny to her daughters to help guide them to where they were.

[Aphrodite]

Aphrodite cantered gracefully into the area, following her mother's whinny. Her golden banner flung out into the breeze behind her. Nyx, her little black filly, was galloping right beside her mother. She didn't dare let herself get separated. The sunlight relfected off of Aphrodite's ivory pelt, making her look exceptionally bright and beautiful. Spotting her mother, she whickered softly and stopped near them. She noticed the black colt beside her mother and snorted. They'd save introductions for later. Nyx stood close to her mother, not wanting to get too far away in case the big black stallion didn't want to be nice.

[Athena]

The two year old filly trotted in after her older sister. Stopped beside her, she touched her muzzle to Aphrodite's neck before nickering to her mother and father. It had been so long since she had seen her father. She stepped forward and nuzzled his shoulder. Athena then looked over her shoulder for her yearling sister, but Demeter was nowhere to be seen.

[Demeter]

Demi walked in lazily, too tired from travelling to care much about anything. When she recognized her father standing beside her mother and sisters, she whickered a cheerful greeting but then moved off to lay down in the spring sun. She hadn't really rested in a while and constant travelling was hard on a yearling.

[Zeus]

Zeus looked around and saw his family with him again. He was so happy. He looked at Hera and said Hera, it may be sudden but do you want to be the lead mare of the herd like you used to? Zeus really hoped that she said yes.

[Hera]

Hera flicked her ears to the side, catching the sound of others approaching. She turned to see Aphrodite and her new filly arrive, followed by Athena and then Demeter. She whickered an affectionate greeting to her daughters -and granddaughter- before turning back to Zeus as he spoke.

She smiled at his question and dipped her head in response. Of course. She touched her maw to his shoulder.

[Zeus]

Zeus wanted to jump in excitement but he tried to keep his cool. He already messed up and was soft for a moment but he is trying not to ruin his reputation. Great. Hopefully things will work out this time and we will all stay together. Zeus began to think and a few minutes later he said Hopefully when Hades here gets older he can run this herd when i pass on. Zeus began to think more. Maybe I should let Hades will run this herd because he is the only son and all, but if i have another son he may be able to be the leader. We will just have to see what the future brings us.

[Hera]

Hera nodded in agreement and then smiled down at her son as Zeus spoke again. That's a fine idea, but you still have quite a few years ahead of you. No need to jump the gun just yet. We'll figure it out when the right time comes. She touched her muzzle to his before moving off towards Aphrodite. The ivory ess nuzzled her daughter lovingly before speaking.

Congratulations, dear. What's the filly's name? Hera looked down at the dark colored filly and smiled. Hades, on the other hand, didn't stay back and simply observe the filly. He trotted right over and bumped the filly's shoulder before nipping her rump. He wanted to play and wouldn't take 'no' for an answer.

[Aphrodite]

Her name is Nyx. She smiled warmly at her mother. And your son? Aphrodite looked down to see him trying to coerce her daughter into playing a game. Nyx simply pinned her ears but submitted anyway. She cantered off a little ways before stopping to look back, ears pricked and nares flared.

Aphrodite simply smiled and reached down to grab a mouthful of grass before looking back to Hera, awaiting her response.

[Aladin]

After several months of travelling, Aladin entered a new terra. A few steps in, he recognized the scent of a stallion..indicatig that the land was claimed. However, he caught the scent of several mares still in heat and couldn't resist temptation. He crept in through the forest, weaving in and out of the tall, thick trees. He then spotted a small herd through the thick brush. They stood in a clearing while he was protected by the trees and brush. His eyes focused on the stallion. He was big, a friesian. Beside him were two ivory hued mares with two black foals. His gaze moved toward the bay yearling before reting on the black arabian mare. The black arabian ess was closest to him, and he thought she was gorgeous.

He admired how she held her tail and head and how she seemed to look at everything with curiousity. She looked young, but had to be at least 2. He could tell because she was in heat. He could smell it from where he stood and didn't understand how it didn't drive the black stallion insane. Aladin looked a second time and noticed the similarities. The stallion was the black mare's father.

A soft snort passed through his nares. He wanted that filly. Glancing over to the stallion, Aladin sent a low whicker to the filly, indicating for her to sneak away and come towards him.

[Athena]

When her sister came into view, Athena whinnied happily. She looked around her, watching the foals playing and listening to her father offer her mother the position of lead mare once again. A low whicker caught her attention and Athena looked behind her and barely glimpsed a figure standing among the trees. She looked back to her father before slowly and nonchalantly moving away from the herd to investigate the forest.

She entered the forest only to see a handsome cremello paint stallion. She smiled shyly and spoke in a whisper. Um, can I help you?

[Aladin]

Aladin smiled to himself triumphantly as he watched the pretty filly slowly enter the woods. He took a single step towards her as she spoke. No, I was just admiring how pretty you are so I figured I should introduce myself. I'm Aladin.

The scent of her heat was stronger than ever now that there were no trees to block it. It nearly drove him insane but he vowed to himself to control himself until he had her permission. And if she refused, well then he'd take her anyways.
