He smiled just a little at Kalista's question. The black brute turned to face them both and sat before them. He cleared his throat and launched into the story. Years ago, a large black draft stallion ruled these parts. Long before any wolves had decided to move in. Truthfully, us wolves were terrified to even come close. See, Onde was a terribly violent horse. He stole from the other herds and killed whoever stood in his way without a second thought. He loved no one. Aidan, who now rules, is Onde's greatgrandson. After onde died, everyone left, leaving the lands open for us. Aidan just recently arrived and with several other horses killed off ou greatvpack and drove us to Mysty Falls. Nearly everyone left though, not wanting to stay where Onde's lines were. That's why we're here. We are going to take our land back. From the horses and from the humans. And with that, Onai ended his story

The white fem listened closely as Onai told his story, trying to picture the big black stallion. He sounded terrible, no wonder the wolves had waited for him to die to move in. She wouldve done the same thing. He told them their mission. To retake their lands. With those words came a strong feeling of responsibility and obligation to carry out the Alpha's wishes. Kalista was a good fighter, always had been. All they lacked was numbers. This pack would need manyy more wolves if they were to succeed.

I listened intently to Onai as he told the story of the land. I looked to Kalista to see her reaction to it. She seemed very focused. I, of course, knew the story already. I had been among one of the packs waiting to move in while Onde controlled the area. There were many packs, joined together to form one as a whole. I had never met Onai there before, and I had left far before Aidan showed up.
"I agree, Onai. We need to restate our claim on the lands. They're doubting us because they were able to push us back. You know Aidan is planning the same thing, attacking us to get rid of us once and for all."
I shook my head in anger. They had left, abandoned the land. The wolves started moving in and all of a sudden these horses came back thinking they're superior and all that. They thought they still had claim over the land after they had been gone for several years. Well, they'd see that we weren't going down without a fight.[/color]

Aero had made a good point. You're probably right. This means we need more wolves. But let's not focus on the battle just yet. We need a strong pack first. That is our first priority. Onai sat down on his haunches and looked over his lands. He let out a long, loud howl to guide any wanderers towards them.
