Name: Ayla
Species: Horse
Breed(horses): Quarter Horse x Arabian
Gender: Mare
Color/Build: Owning a peltage of a light brown coloration, Ayla is considered to be a bay with her ebony mane and tail. Her legs are covered with an onyx coloring. A small white star is present upon her forehead, adding to her delicate appearance. Her delicately shaped head exhibits arabian features, such as a slightly dished face. However, her bod exhibits a slightly stocky build which she inherited from her quarter horse sire. Her legs are slim, yet muscular. She can run about as quickly as a thoroughbred, despite the fact she doesn't carry thoroughbred blood within her. Beneath her bayen peltage lies a layer of muscles, useful when running or fighting with another.
Age: 3
Personality: Ayla can be an extremely stubborn mare. Though she occasionally cooperates, this mare tends to do things her own way until she feels comfortable with her surroundings. She can be flirty at times and if another mare interferes, they will feel the wrath of Ayla. If a stallion offers her position of lead mare, she will accept it gratefully and will seem to transform. However, until then, Ayla will be her usual self. She is naturally a dominant mare and isn't afraid to stand up to a stallion.
History: Born to an arabian mare and a quarter horse stallion, Ayla inherited more of her sire's features. The only sign of her arabian heritage is her lightly dished profile and the grace of which she moves. She was born on a small ranch and was destined to become their broodmare. However, when it was time to break her to the halter, she didn't cooperate as well as they had hoped.
For two years, they fought and struggled to break her but failed each time. Deciding to release her to the pasture alone, they used ropes to get her there. Once in the enclosed field, Ayla bolted to the far end of it where she immediately began to plan her escape. Finding a weak spot in the fencing, Ayla destroyed it and ran to her freedom. At the age of three, she has arrived here in search of a decent home.....and a stallion that can tolerate her.
