Name: Lani
Species: Horse
Breed(horses): Appaloosa
Gender: Mare
Color/Build: Lani's color is that of disguise and rarity. Her base coat would be black, but due to a dilution gene it appears as a Tannish shade- plus the fact that she has a dun gene in there as well. Thus, technically, Lani is a very rare shade of grulla. Her build is not too light nor too stocky.
(OOC- This is the color description I found with the pic... Color: Black but due to Dun and maybe another diluter appears Tan Dun with Near Leopard pattern. Has been DNA tested No Agouti gene. So she is a true Grulla! This color is very rare and one of a kind! Height: Approximately 16. DNA tested no Agouti aa. This mare will produce black and whites.)
Age: 3
Personality: Having been spoiled a bit by her owners, Lani thinks a bit highly of herself. However, she can usually get along with other mares, as long as they don't compete too much for her stallion's attention. Lani is a relatively leniant mare, but not too leniant, so one shouldn't push her to the limit. She's a bit of a flirt and a tease, stallions, so watch your backs!
History: Lani was born just as she was supposed to be- rare as could be with stunning parents. As such a rarely colored filly, Lani often received special treatment and such- almost harmless things. The extra sugar cube, the extra few minutes of grooming, the general attention.
By age two, Lani's halter career was well under way and her western career was just beginning. At the age of 5, the ranchers had decided that she would be retired and bred to a rare stud.
However, thier plans weren't taken into consideration when Lani decided to go out and explore the area one night. She got lost, but accepted her newfound freedom and now is looking for a herd to live in.
